Prerequisites

Discord Server Administrator

You must have Administrator permissions or Manage Server permissions in your Discord server.

Invite AkuWorks Bot

Start by inviting the AkuWorks bot to your Discord server with the required permissions.

Invitation Steps:

  1. Click the "Add to Server" button below
  2. Select your Discord server from the dropdown

Configure Permissions

Set up the necessary roles and permissions for the verification system to work properly.

Automatic Role Creation

AkuWorks will automatically create these roles when first configured:

  • @Verified - Given to users who complete verification
  • @Unverified - Temporary role for new members

Manual Permission Setup

  1. Go to Server Settings → Roles
  2. Ensure AkuWorks bot role is above @Verified and @Unverified roles
  3. Configure channel permissions for @Unverified role (restrict access)
  4. Configure channel permissions for @Verified role (grant access)

Basic Configuration

Configure the basic verification settings through the AkuWorks dashboard.

Dashboard Configuration

  1. Visit the AkuWorks Dashboard
  2. Select your server from the server list
  3. Configure verification channel (where users verify)
  4. Set welcome message and verification instructions
  5. Choose verification method (Cloudflare Turnstile recommended)
  6. Save your configuration

Recommended Settings

  • • Verification Channel: Create a dedicated #verification channel
  • • Welcome Message: Clear instructions for new members
  • • Verification Method: Cloudflare Turnstile (default)
  • • Auto-Role Assignment: Enable for seamless experience

Test Verification

Test your setup to ensure everything is working correctly.

Testing Steps

  1. Create a test account or ask a friend to join your server
  2. Observe that they receive the @Unverified role automatically
  3. Have them complete the verification process
  4. Confirm they receive the @Verified role and appropriate permissions
  5. Check that the verification is logged in your dashboard
